Totalitarian Moralism

A new totalitarian moralism is taking hold and is now poisoning not only every historical social, but also artistic debate. Monuments are toppled, newspaper editors are fired for admitting other opinions, professors are mobbed because of non-conformist statements, actors and directors are mercilessly discredited and prejudged without any legal process, literature is rewritten because of terms that have not been declared permissible, works of art that do not conform to the zeitgeist moral canon are removed from museums, quotas are demanded as criteria for judging art and art is judged exclusively according to its social and moral relevance.
